Goose

For those of you who don't know me my name is Robbie. Seen here with me is my co pilot Goose. Goose was a rescue I took home shortly after I was discharged from the Army. After a bit of a rough transition out of the military, it's hard to say who rescued who that day. This dog has been there for me always with a lick or a cuddle when I've needed it most, or in the front seat, and has been the best dog and best friend I could of ever asked for. Seriously one of the most loyal and lovable dogs (if you met him you'd understand). This dog helped me get through post military depression, any curveball life has thrown my way. This dog got me through nights when I had never felt more alone and lost, questioning the value of life. This dog fucking saved me.

Goose is currently in the puppy ICU. After a successful obstruction surgery for a foreign object back in july ( He chewed up a flannel and had it stuck) he is now battling sepsis shock, due to an adhesion on his small intestine causing constriction of blood flow.

Wednesday he endured an extensive surgery , where the amazing team working on him removed around 20CM of intestines that were lost due to lack of blood flow and profusion. When they opened him up nothing but brown fluid poured out of his abdominal cavity. Surprisingly he didn't show any signs of septic infection prior but ended up declining through the procedure.

After a 3-4 hour surgery of battling his vitals to keep him alive under anesthesia, they got him sealed up. he's currently stable in the ICU with the help of a blood pressure medication known as norepinephrine. Goose is considerably stable, but needs to get off these drugs and fight this fight on his own so his body can handle itself.

In order to keep his albumin and blood pressure up, they need to get plasma on board and insert a feeding tube so he can get back in the fight. Unfortunately having not planned for how serious this has turned out to be, this Vet Bill is quite a bit higher than I was able to get approved for with care credit, totaling a little over $16,000

Im a pretty stubborn guy. I don't know better when to ask for help. I've always just tried to figure shit out on my own.

Unfortunately I am struggling to cover these expenses because they need deposits before they can continue each part of treatment he continues to need because it's not going well. I've gone broke saving my best friends life. And I've never felt more selfish because this dog saved my life and I'm struggling to save his now. I have failed this dog as an owner/parent/ the person this dog depends on for survival. I'll be the first to admit it. I don't wanna ask someone for a large sum of money. I'm asking for a few bucks from a ton of people. I would be doing Goose a disservice if I didn't make a go fund me to help save his life. I would do anything for this dog. I love Goose, he's my best friend. Every penny is so much appreciated. Thank you.
