Jessica's Cancer fight

In January 2015, at the age of 25, I was diagnosed with a rare malignant cancer known as soft tissue sarcoma. The cancer had initially developed in my sinuses and, after having a dental procedure that involved several tooth extractions, a large tumor quickly emerged inside of my mouth. The tumor has continued to grow aggressively despite having had surgery to remove part of it and beginning chemotherapy treatment. The size of the tumor has made it difficult to swallow and has even interfered with my eyesight in my right eye. Although the chemotherapy has drained nearly all of my energy, I am trying hard to remain strong and positive. My treatment will involve additional surgeries to remove a large section of my face followed by several reconstructive surgeries. In addition, I will begin a course of radiation treatment that is expected to last for 7 weeks.

As I fight this aggressive and rare cancer, I am unable to seek work and have moved in with my mother and her family in their crowded two bedroom apartment. While I am grateful to have a place to stay, the living conditions are less than optimal for my condition. My half siblings are very young and it is hard for me to rest. I am hoping to raise funds to help me fight this battle and find better living arrangements. The cost of an assisted living facility for cancer patients is far beyond my reach. I have no resources of my own, and I need to focus on getting better and fighting for my life.  All donations are welcome.
