Nuggett’s Emergency Bills

Donation protected
Our sweet Yorkie, Nuggett..
A few days ago, he was not acting right and wouldn’t move. We brought him to the vet, who took x rays and blood work and was worried he had a mass. His belly was very distended and even when the vet palpated his stomach, he threw up. We knew something was seriously wrong.

So, we rushed him to the Emergency VCA. They did an ultrasound and he needed emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder. It was on the verge of exploding inside of him.

They performed an exploratory laparotomy and cholecystectomy. Basically they opened up his belly, assessed his other vital organs and removed the inflamed gall bladder. They also fixed a clogged “common bile duct” which helps drain bile. If this wasn’t performed his liver would not be functioning properly.

After the surgery, his vitals were low and so was his sugar. Other post op complications occurred that required him needing an NG tube and to stay two more nights.

We visit him twice a day and will continue to update you on his progress.

UPDATE 11/8: Results came back and his diseased gallbladder made him septic, but he is fighting to come HOME! In fact, after he heard that word from the Vet he quickly pop up on all four legs. Wobbly walking around, the Vet said she never expected that❤️

There is NO price tag for our fur babies, who are family.

We love and appreciate any prayers for our boy and our family.

Any dollar counts, thank you for reading this.
