NUCLEAR, is a 2022 Griffith Graduate Production.
About This Project -
Welcome to our Crowd-funder appeal for our short film ‘Nuclear’. We are a group of young, aspiring and passionate filmmakers hoping to make this our best project to date. It’s an ambitious film that requires a huge amount of energy and time, we plan to ensure this is reflected in the final product.
Any donations or shares you can give to this project are incredibly appreciated!
- The Film -
‘Nuclear’ is a short horror in the style of a sitcom set in the 60s of Australia. On the outside, the Hetherington family are a happy bunch who seem to be living the 1960’s dream, but on a closer look, they are just moments away from crumbling under their own fake positivity. William, the patriarch of the house is harbouring unchanneled anger. A recurring crack in the wall, the loss of his job and no sympathy from his family drive him into a violent descent, which is mocked by the reoccurring laugh track. While Helen remains a positive and bubbly housewife, the terrifying weight of her avoidant coping mechanisms comes to light as the wall comes crashing down.
