On behalf of Senior Lead Officer Sean Brown, LAPD Topanga division is stepping up to help a brother in need.



Sean became a police officer 18 years ago.  He started as a probationary officer at Foothill division and then transferred to West Valley.  In 2009 he helped open Topanga division and promoted to Senior Lead Officer in 2015.  

In 2019 Sean and his family received the devastating news that he had stage 4 colon cancer. Over the past year he has received numerous chemotherapy treatments with high hopes that he would overcome this awful disease.  

Following Christmas and several ineffective chemotherapy treatments, Sean and his lovely wife, Kristin, traveled to the cancer center in Texas looking for possible new treatments, but unfortunately that hospital could not provide any new options for Sean.  They are currently pursuing treatments here in CA and hope to find something to prolong life.

Sean is married with 3 children (4, 9 and 12).   He's currently spending as much time with his family creating memories.  

LAPD Topanga division has started this Go Fund Me page to help raise money for the up-coming financial hardship Sean's family will endure.
