NT STABBING - CAIRNS MEMORIAL LEGAL FEES SUPPORT

Samara and her family have been overwhelmed by the support of everyone, both emotionally and financially.

We originally hoped to raise enough to get Declan home, and closed the fundraising when all of you helped us achieve that.

Since then, we have had a number of people still wanting to help Samara and her family, and after time to reflect on all of the expenses that lay ahead of her, we have chosen to reopen this fundraiser.

Hi, this is Nicole and Anton. We’re friends of the family and would love if anyone could help out in any way they can.

On 19th March, Declan, 19, was finishing work when he was stabbed and killed. He was just a young boy making an honest living and nobody ever would have thought that he wouldn’t return home.

He was originally raised in Cairns, but living and working in Darwin.

His mother would dearly love to bring him home to be buried, but as you can imagine, that comes with a financial burden. She has dedicated her life to helping others, and it would be great if our awesome community to do even a little to give back.

As her friends, we are struggling with how we can help her, and figured that this is one small way we can help ease her burden at this unimaginable time.

We are hoping that you can join us in trying to raise some funds to make this happen.

If we raise any additional funds, we will ensure that goes towards his funeral costs and any other way we can help the family through this awful time.
