SME/NSSGA Competition Trip
Donation protected
During the fall semester of this year, our team took our senior design class. A part of this class was the first stage of an international design competition hosted by the Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME) and the National Sand, Stone, and Gravel Association (NSSGA). The six of us, William Heasley, Dalton Walker, Daniel Koelfgen, Peter Hunter, Jackson Roberts, and Ethan Marcoux, put in many hours over the two week period allowed by the competition. The paper we submitted was chosen as one of the top six of all the submissions received from around the world. This means we are moving to the final round. The final round is an onsite competition held during the annual SME conference. We, as a team, have to complete some fundraising to be able to attend the conference. If you can help us out we highly appreciate it! These funds will be used to cover our transportation costs, hotel rooms, food, and our registration fee for the conference.
