Wow!!! We have so far surpassed our initial goal that Mike is sure to get the best, most decked out scooter ever made! Remember, if you'd still like to contribute, you can. We will make sure that your funds go directly to making Mike's 70th his best birthday ever. Alternatively, if you'd like to send a card to be presented along with the scooter, please contact Jenni at [email redacted] for her address, where she will keep the card a secret until the right time. In the meantime, read below about our original goal and purpose in raising these funds:
Mike Sussell is turning 70 this year! This beloved man, father, friend, and dog owner spent his 69th birthday in a hospital bed, recovering from not one, but TWO major surgeries. To ring in his 70th year, we (his daughters) would like to present him with the gift that keeps on giving (we guess?) The man wants an $800 scooter. Of course, he thinks it'll never happen and has pointed it out to us mostly in jest, but we know him. And we know he wants that scooter. We also know he doesn't want a big party, but that he is loved and adored by many who are looking for a way to express that love. So: If you wanna show Mike how you really feel, help us get him that scooter! Anyone who donates any amount, large or small, will be recognized and written into a card under the "with love, from" section when we present him with this awesome gift. He'll love the scooter, but the outpouring of love that he will see in that card will surely bring him to tears (he cries during Lifetime movies, but hey!)
We hope you'll all help us out with this 70th birthday gift! We promise to invite you to or send you a video of the big moment of unveiling. And ssshh, this is a surprise! Don't tell Mike!
