For Poppy

On March 30th, 2023, beloved father, grandfather, animal lover, and rescuer Ernie Taylor (Poppy) tragically passed at the age of 83. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we would like to honor Poppy by uplifting two of his most admirable qualities from his time with us: bringing people together and helping those in need. We are accepting donations to help fund the service that will give Ernie’s friends and family a chance to get together and say goodbye. All remaining proceeds will go towards continuing a passion of Poppy’s: rescuing animals in need. Our plan is to expand on the current rescue, giving it the official title of “Poppy’s Place” in his honor. Poppy believed that all animals deserved a chance at rehabilitation, and his duck, chicken, and geese rescue was one of the things that brought him true joy. We believe this is the best way to honor his legacy, allowing Poppy to provide happy living situations for animals in need even after his departure from our world. His love for all animals has been shared with millions online. He wanted nothing more than to bring good into this world and show kindness to his animals. If you are unable to give, we completely understand. All we ask is that you instead spread this message, in hopes that we can honor a man who spent his life in service of others and BE THE REASON SOMEONE SMILES TODAY.
