Help My Mother in Venezuela

My name is Maribel Alleman. I am from Venezuela but came to the U.S. after I married my husband, Jason. We have two children and live in Telford, Pennsylvania. Even though I am now a U.S. citizen, all of my family remains in Venezuela where the situation is dire.

With the crisis in Venezuela my mother is unable to receive the medical care necessary to save her life. Last June she went through a second surgery to implant a pacemaker. After that, she didn’t receive the right treatment and we discovered that the pacemaker had a recall on it. Since it has not been working properly, her heart is increasing in size and her lungs are filling with liquid. Also, she started having a varicose ulcer which is festering in her leg. She needs help now or she will die.

In order to help my mother, I want to travel to Venezuela to bring the proper medicine and a new pacemaker that will function well. I do not have the finances for this, so I need help from others. It is a blessing to be able to receive the proper medical care here in the United States and I am thankful for it. But, I hurt for my mother and don’t want her to die simply because she can not get what she needs.
