A Dream, A Drone, A Chance to Save Lives

My Story: Why I’m Building This Drone and Launching Crisis Core
Hi, my name is Sam Johnson — I’m a soldier, student, and engineer. I currently serve in the Army National Guard while studying Cyber Forensics at the University of Akron. I’ve always believed that technology, when built with purpose, can literally save lives.
That’s why I’m not just building a drone — I’m launching a full disaster response tech unit, and I need your help to do it.
Crisis Core: Tech-Driven Search and Rescue
Too often, people are lost in disasters before help can reach them. Earthquakes, floods, tornadoes — every second matters, but human responders can only go so fast.
That’s where my project comes in.
I’m building Crisis Core, a mobile search and rescue unit centered around my flagship invention — the Halcyon-X drone.
Halcyon-X: A Drone That Could Save Lives
The Halcyon-X is a custom-designed, hybrid-powered, long-endurance UAV designed to:
Search disaster zones with thermal and LiDAR sensors
Fly for 9+ hours nonstop using a hybrid gas-electric system
Perform vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) from almost any terrain
Use adaptive propeller thrust focusing for speed, precision, and stealth
Eventually integrate into real-time emergency operations
This isn’t a hobby drone. It’s built to go where rescue crews can’t — and find people before it’s too late.
What I Need Funding For
I’ve already poured months into the design, mission planning, and engineering behind this. But to bring it to life, I need help with:
A high-resolution 3D printer to build large-scale airframe parts
Motors, sensors, computing modules, and advanced electronics
Covering basic living costs while I develop the prototype full-time
Launching a fully equipped Crisis Core mobile unit (vehicle, gear, deployment tools)
Field testing and certification for real-world search and rescue
⚔️ Why This Matters
I'm not a big company. I'm not a government lab. I'm a 20-something soldier with a mission:
To build the first civilian, tech-driven SAR unit powered by custom drone innovation — and to prove that the future of rescue starts with people like us.
If you believe in tech for good…
If you believe in innovation that saves lives…
If you believe in giving someone a shot who’s giving everything they’ve got…
I’d be honored to have your support.
Even $10 Makes a Difference
I’m not asking for charity — I’m asking for a chance. Your donation will directly fund the tools, tech, and testing needed to get Crisis Core and Halcyon-X off the ground.
If you can’t donate, please share this. One post could reach the person who helps bring this to life.
Let’s show the world what one soldier, one drone, and one unstoppable mission can do.
Thank you.
