Norway in a Porsche 944 - In memory of Jenny

Tax deductible
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity made an amazing difference to me and my family when my wife Jenny was diagnosed with terminal cancer in Sept 2019. While Jenny was ill they were able to help our family with memory making, day therapy sessions and counselling to help us deal with what lay ahead. In the last weeks of Jenny's life they were there to care for her around the clock and allow me to be with her until the end. Jenny passed away in March 2020, right at the start of the Coronavirus pandemic.

I wanted to personally help the charity that made a huge difference to us, and am targeting £50,000.  This will help so many people who face advanced serious illness in Cambridgeshire.

The Backstory:
Not long after I married Jenny, I bought a car on eBay, a 1987 Porsche 944, and used it daily for a few years before it developed a cooling issue. It then sat on our driveway for 3 years, untouched. After Jenny passed away, I used the basic mechanical skills I have as a therapy to keep my mind focused and make some basic repairs to try to get the car roadworthy again. I had a crazy idea that I could raise some money for Arthur Rank somehow. Over the last 18 months I've been fixing the problems it had and it's now back on the road.

The Challenge:
I have entered the Baltic Sea Circle adventure rally - the northernmost adventure rally on the planet. My teammate Gemma and I will be making our way to Hamburg, Germany, where the rally starts, and then progressing over the course of 16 days through Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Overall we expect to cover 6000 miles, taking on challenges throughout. We'll be stopping at the North Cape,  the most northerly place accessible by road in Europe. It is 71 degrees north of the equator.

We've got the car running, and now its the last few weeks before the rally starts. We want to make as much money as we can for Arthur Rank Hospice.

How you can help:
Please donate and share as much as you can on social media. All money raised through GoFundMe will go directly to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

To say thank you to all my donors, every one will get their name on the car.  The more you donate, the bigger your name/logo will be on the car! Throughout the rally we'll be adding names and shouting out to our donors.
