Free After School Program

The Northside Music After School Program is making a difference in the lives of children in Spartanburg, SC.    This past year there were over 40 children through our doors for our FREE After School Program. Our cost-per-child is $1000 for the year or $100 Monthly or $25 Weekly.  No family pays for our program. Any help you are able to provide is greatly appreciated. We desire to raise enough funding to sponsor at least 18 children for one year. That’s a total of $18,000.00. Our ultimate goal is to service our capacity of 50 children. Last year we were denied a needed community development grant because we disclosed that we teach Christian principles. Well, the truth is…. we teach Christian principles. And, we pray, memorize scriptures and sing gospel music with the children everyday. The Center was started by a Mark Everett, an inner-city church planter and continues operation as a 501c3. All donations are tax deductible. The program was started to make disciples, provide a safe haven and a positive learning environment for inner-city children during the high risk period of time after the children get out of school and before their parents get home. Today, we offer a FREE After School Program for at-risk children from the age of 6 to 10. With the help of our donors, we are able to provide snacks, homework help,  computer programs to improve reading and math skills, (since many do not have internet at home), transportation to the Center, special events and field trips they may not experience otherwise.  Our staff teaches the importance of good nutrition, fitness, literacy and lifeskills to prepare them for their futures. Music and Art programs make a huge difference for many of our children. Our goal is to provide academic enrichment and to share the love and gospel of Christ with the children and their parents. We are an Acts 2:42 Ministry. We continually and faithfully devote ourselves to instruction, fellowship, eating meals together and to prayers. But all of this takes funding - groceries, gasoline, supplies, maintenance, and enough good people to make it all happen.  Please help us generate the funds we need to create a phenomenal After School Program!  Your donations, and your prayers for our ministry are greatly appreciated.
