North Island Rallies For Eugene

Eugene has been a North Island community member for 43 years, moving to Port Hardy in 1967 when he was five years old and growing up with, likely, with many of you reading this.
He left the Island in 2010 and now lives in Alberta, but he holds the North Island close to his heart, where he's made many close friends and great memories.

But now Eugene needs our community's help. He was diagnosed with liver cancer. Initial chemotherapy treatments have not been as successful as he’d hoped, and is battling stage 4 liver cancer.
On top of having 3 tumours on his liver, the cancer has spread to his spine.
Despite this, he's faced the diagnosis with good spirits and maintained an optimism that many of us probably recognize as a fundamental aspect of Eugene's perspective on life.
However, he has had to go on medical EI and battling cancer while on a limited income has made it difficult for Eugene.

We, as a community, can come together to help support Eugene financially.
This support would enable him to focus his energy on fighting and beating this cancer.
