North Fork Mobile Home Park Moving Fund

I lived in North Fork mobile home park for 5.5 years. My family just recently moved, but we still have numerous friends in the park.
Rumors started flying around that the trailer park was being sold for development, to bring business into Rowan County, KY, and our city, Morehead. On September 14th, a city council meeting was the first time anyone heard of these plans.
Residents have watched different groups of people come into the trailer park and drill for soil samples, survey, and just walk around with big maps. All the while, never being told one thing, except from a few sleuths, like myself.
Fast forward to now. Through specially called county and city meetings, it's been confirmed that, while the sale of the property hasn't gone through yet, it will happen, and residents have to be out by March 31st. But the property manager has yet to tell anyone, anything.
The owner of the park is offering $1,000, paid directly to the moving company, for all owners of the trailers. But herein lies the problem. Some trailers aren't going to physically move. Some people rent their trailer now. So while it is kind of the owner to pay $1000 to the moving company, the residents need money in their hands to move. Plus, the lowest quote anyone has been given is $2000-$2500. I mean, some people are going to have to find other housing, put deposits down on things, and God forbid one of the trailers doesn't make it through the move.
I know we are in the middle of a pandemic. Holidays are here. People are without jobs. I know the economy is bleak right now. But if you have just $5, if you can share this campaign, whatever you can do to help this small community.

I've seen people to donate to all kinds of causes. These people could really use some compassion, hope, and money. Some of them now hardly know when their next meal is coming, but they have their trailer over their heads in the park. They won't have that security soon. And $2500 minimum is hard to come up with in 3-4 months, when you barely survive as it is.
I have no idea what the goal is, money number wise. There are approximately 65 trailers in the park. All money raised will be distributed to the residents of the park, equally, down to the cent.
And for transparency reasons, I just make to make clear that I do not personally live there as of November. But I have several friends this is going to affect, and children this is going to affect. All while living in this crazy time right now.
2020 has been a horrible year. And some people are going to start 2021 in a state of fear,depression, and hoplessness, because they may soon find themselves without a home.
This is the best way, to be more Jesus like, that I can think. Please help me, help the residents of North Fork mobile home park. These people have been looked down on, and it seems no one cares about what will happen to them. But I do. And together, maybe we can show them that kindness and humanity still exist.❤
