Losing someone you love is never easy, and losing someone you love during the holidays is even harder.
But losing your child, that you love more than life itself during the holidays is a pain that is absolutely unfathomable.
I am hurting today. My family is hurting today. My dear sweet cousin Chris Woolley has lost his sweet 6 year old son. He, his wife Sarah and 4 other young children Chloe, Marlee, Sadie and Lucus are having to face these holidays and the rest of their lives without their youngest son and little brother. Days leading up to Christmas that would normally be filled with excitement and laughter are now filled with tears and sorrow.
They are giving their most precious gift to others through organ donation. They are so selflessly giving life to others so other families can be spared the pain and suffering of loss and instead will experience the excitement and laughter that the holiday brings through the gift of life.
My heart is breaking in a million pieces for them and their sadness. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain they are feeling. I am hugging my children a little tighter this Christmas.
Baby Nolan was just too much for this world and his time here was entirely too short. He was here to save lives both while he was living and again now that he is gone. He lived every single day of his short life full of wonder and joy.
We do have angels that walk among us. Always remember that when you are going about your daily lives. Always remember that everyone you meet not only has a purpose here, but every single person that we come into contact with is destined for greatness.
Nolan was great, Nolan IS great. He was strong, brave and an absolute perfect young being and he will always be remembered as such. He will continue to live on through his gifts that he is sharing. His light will continue to shine on in the lives of every person that he is saving.
Thank you Nolan for walking among us, even if it was for just a short while. We are all better for being a part of your beautiful life. Fly free sweet angel.
