Noemi and Baby

Hello everyone.
This is my sister Noemi. She was 35 weeks pregnant. She has been in and out of the ER due to Covid since Friday, December 4th, 2020. She was having difficulty breathing and was taken to the ER on an ambulance on Monday at 4:50 am. They ran tests on her to make sure her lungs were okay. She seemed to be more stable when all of a sudden we stopped hearing from her. On Tuesday, around 2:30, Marco, her partner, called me and told me that Dr. had called him to let him know that an emergency c-section had to be performed. Dr. said that Baby had a hard time breathing, and that he might have swallowed some fluids and that he was in an incubator. Meanwhile, my sister had lost 2 Liters of blood and was on a ventilator, and they were trying their best to stabilize her.
At this moment, I broke down! I couldn't think of loosing my sister! It was around 4:30 when the doctor called me and asked for my permission to do a plasma transfusion. I couldn't take the decision alone, so I called my father. He said YES! Then, I called the nurse back and authorized the plasma transfusion. It was desperate hours of not knowing anything about her. Until 8:45 that evening I called and a wonderful nurse answered my questions and said that she was sedated and stable and they would run more tests on Wednesday morning to see if they can take her out of the ventilator.
Wednesday morning came and I was getting ready to dial the nurse's number when I received a text. It was Noemi! Our God had done a miracle! She was stable and out of the ventilator!
Today is Thursday, and she is still hospitalized. She just found out what had happened to her. Doctor told her that the placenta had ruptured inside of her. Due to this covid was spreading inside of her and could have reached the baby. This is why they performed the emergency c-section.
As of today, she has not held her baby, but has FaceTimed with him.
At home she has her 3 year old daughter waiting for her to come back soon. Dad can't go work either because he is taking care of their daughter.
As a family, we ask for you support in prayers and financially too. They need money to pay for their rent, bills, food, home essentials, and the unexpected preemie-clothing and milk.

Esta es mi hermana Noemi. Tenía 35 semanas de embarazo. Ha estado entrando y saliendo de la sala de emergencias debido a Covid desde el viernes 4 de diciembre de 2020. Tenía dificultad para respirar y fue llevada a la sala de emergencias en una ambulancia el lunes a las 4:50 am. Le hicieron pruebas para asegurarse de que sus pulmones estuvieran bien. Parecía estar más estable cuando de repente dejamos de tener noticias suyas. El martes, alrededor de las 2:30, Marco, su compañero, me llamó y me dijo que el Dr. lo había llamado para avisarle que tenía que realizar una cesárea de emergencia. El Dr. dijo que Baby tenía dificultades para respirar y que podría haber tragado algunos líquidos y que estaba en una incubadora. Mientras tanto, mi hermana había perdido 2 litros de sangre y estaba conectada a un ventilador, y estaban haciendo todo lo posible para estabilizarla.
¡En este momento, me derrumbé! ¡No podía pensar en perder a mi hermana! Eran alrededor de las 4:30 cuando el médico me llamó y me pidió permiso para hacer una transfusión de plasma. No podía tomar la decisión solo, así que llamé a mi padre. ¡El dijo que sí! Luego, llamé a la enfermera y autoricé la transfusión de plasma. Fueron horas desesperadas sin saber nada de ella. Hasta las 8:45 de la noche llamé y una enfermera maravillosa respondió mis preguntas y dijo que estaba sedada y estable y que harían más pruebas el miércoles por la mañana para ver si podían sacarla del ventilador.
Llegó el miércoles por la mañana y me estaba preparando para marcar el número de la enfermera cuando recibí un mensaje de texto. ¡Era Noemi! ¡Nuestro Dios había hecho un milagro! ¡Estaba estable y fuera del ventilador!
Hoy es jueves y todavía está hospitalizada. Ella acaba de enterarse de lo que le había pasado. El doctor le dijo que la placenta se había roto dentro de ella. Debido a este covid se estaba extendiendo dentro de ella y podría haber alcanzado al bebé. Es por eso que realizaron la cesárea de emergencia.
Hasta el día de hoy, ella no ha tenido a su bebé en brazos, pero ha hecho FaceTime con él.
En casa tiene a su hija de 3 años esperando que vuelva pronto. Papá tampoco puede ir a trabajar porque está cuidando a su hija.
Como familia, les pedimos apoyo en la oración y también económicamente. Necesitan dinero para pagar el alquiler, las facturas, la comida, los artículos básicos del hogar y la ropa y la leche inesperadas para los bebés prematuros.
