Noeme Santos - Her hands are her lifeline to work

Donation protected

Hey folks, Rob Anderson here.

It has been a while since we ran a campaign to help someone in our extended Amazon family.
We are very sad to announce that one of our team members has had a terrible accident and is in need of our help. Noeme is our head chef of our Amazon operation and has been with us since the begininning.

On october 15th while traveling with our floating cabin operation, Noeme had a terrible accient. A huge storm was ripping through the camp while moving, everyone was scrambling to secure everything, Noeme slipped and fell from the top of a ladder and broke her arm and caused a lot of nerve damage.

In our business, we spend a lot of time off the grid and this was no exception. What happened after the fall is not for the faint of heart. Noeme traveled 6 hours in a fishing boat to a port where car service could take her to Manaus and to a public Hospital. Noeme has spent the last month in the hospital and had to wait 18 days there before an availble slot for surgery would open.

Noeme is a Rock Star, never complaining about anything, she has endured one of the most traumatic experiences one could imagine. a broken arm with nothing to ease the pain. a 6 hour boat ride in pouring rain starring at a disabled limb. Try that one on for size if you think you have problems in life. Noeme is one of the sweetest people we know and work with. Her and her husband Pelado our camp manager also raise and care for their grandaughter Alia who is 4 years old. this task alone has become imposible for the couple.

Not only has Noeme been out of work for the last month both in our fishing operation but also in her Bakery business in her village. Not to mention our camp manager has missed the last monts work taking cre of her. The couple are in real financial trouble. Their future is not real bright. They already hvae medical bills they can not afford now or ever.

We love raising money for our people in the Jungle, for projects, imporvements, and positive things but this situation is why we have our Care&Share program in place. To help those who can not help themselves in tragic times.

Any money raised will go to paying off medical bills first and then holefully to help the family survive until things improve and Noeme can get back to work. This is a really important campain for Bucket List Fly Fishing and we are reaching out for help. Please do whatever you can for this amazing lady. No donation is too small.

Thank you in advace for anything you can do to help.
