Noel's Medical and Accident Expense

Donation protected
On 30th of October, as Noel was working on his farm early in the morning before 6 AM, he got into a serious accident.  He was run over by his own 7 ton tractor and the only tractor we own to do farming to support our entire family.

The tractor drove over his entire body from head to toe. He was very lucky to be alive because he suffered from a broken neck, 9 fractured ribs, fractured pelvic bone, a collapse lung, and multiple bruises on his body.

At the time of the accident, Noel didn't carry his cell phone with him because he left it in his tractor, which has now already drove through the fences and into the shed.  He was trying to call out for help but no one could hear him.  He laid there for an hour and was starting to feel cold so with no choice, inch by inch, he crawled to his car and drove himself to the closest neighbour.   The crawled was very painstaking, not only he felt the unbearable pain but he knew if he didn't get to someone, he would die.

He went to the first house but the neighbour didn't hear him so he drove to the next one and luckily, there was a child who spotted my husband. The child saw my husband from outside and called his parents for help.  Shortly after, the ambulance came and rushed him to Royal Melbourne hospital where he received immediate treatment.

The very next day, he was scheduled for surgery.  The surgeon told him that this surgery could be a life threatening matter.  As a responsible husband and father, he was very worried that he will not make it out of surgery and leaving his wife and 2 children behind. Just hours before going into surgery, Noel said to me that if he can recover from this, he will save up for a new tractor and get right back to farming again.  His passion for farming is phenomenal and I think this is what kept him alive and still here with us.

My husband is the only source of income and with two very young children of the age of 1 and 3, we really need help during this difficult period. Our upcoming expenses are going to exceed our savings and we will not be able to support my husband during his recovery.  We want Noel to focus on his recovery and rehabilitation so that he can continue to do what he loves doing.  Sadly,  it will take him at least one year for him to walk normally again and to be strong enough to lift anything.

This generous donation will go toward keeping our family together during this deficit time.  It will also keep my husband's mind positive and his spirit strong.

The money will go towards fixing his tractor or getting a new one. It will also be used to fix the fences, shed, and to repair our vehicle that was damaged during the accident.  We are also very grateful to receive any unwanted farming equipments or tools to help rebuild the farm again.

My husband loves to help anyone as much as he can without asking for anything in return. This is the first time we are reaching out for help because we know there is no other way of doing it on our own.

Please spread the words around and help our family during this difficult time so he can heal and get back to work.

As Christmas is just around the corner, please show some kindness and love.  Help make him realize there are still people out there who will care about him/farmers.

Noel and I live in Victoria, Australia with our two sons, and will continue our passion as farmers.

Thank you,

Ronnie
