Send Noah to YAGP Finals, New York

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Noah Miller, I am a sixteen (almost 17!) year old Junior at El Toro High School. I started dancing at the age of four; I would watch my sister through the window at the dance studio and would correct her at home when she practiced!  At the age of
4 ½ I participated in my first Nutcracker and have never looked back

Over the years I have continued to dance and increased my dedication, weekly training hours, and difficulty of my training. I am lucky enough to live in an area where there are many great dance studios, and have been able to move studios as my passion grew. I have been dancing at Dimitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy (DKCBA) for the past year and considerably ramped up my training. The training at DKCBA is by far the most vigorous of the studios I’ve attended, and my schedule (about 20+ hours a week) is packed with a variety of ballet classes, Pas de Deux and Contemporary. I have grown significantly as a dancer over the past year and plan to continue to work just as hard and make even more progress over the coming year. No matter how hard the classes are my love for dancing has always grown and I am planning on pursuing dance as a career after completing high school.

Earlier this month I competed in the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) ballet competition in Las Vegas and was honored to place 3rd in the Combined Men’s/Women’s Classical category and Top 12 Contemporary Combined. I was lucky enough to be invited to New York in April to participate in the YAGP Finals which brings top scorers from each regional together for a finals competition. I am looking forward to this amazing opportunity to both have the honor to compete against the many amazing dancers from across the world as well as to have an opportunity to have artistic directors from many ballet companies see me.

Naturally my parents have supported me throughout all these many years of dance and have always been my biggest fans and supporters. Even as a male dancer, who definitely have it easier and less expensive than the girls, dance is an expensive passion. To prepare for YAGP I take weekly privates throughout most of the year – it seems once one YAGP is done it’s time to prepare for the next year!

I would love to be able to help my parents and  raise my share of the costs for this trip to YAGP Finals in New York. Thank you in advance for your support and please cross your fingers for me April 10-15 when I compete in New York!
