Noah's Heart Surgery

Noah Tyrese Lockett , a sophomore that attends Carlton J Kell High School, is a typical 15 year old with a 3.9 weighted GPA,  2nd Chair in Kells Symphonia Orchestra, and Junior Varsity Starter on the Basketball team. He has a passion for music, family, and good times. Noah had symptoms starting as early as September. Noah fainted once during basketball tryouts and again the very next day after a couple of minutes of conditioning. Twice at the hotel room they were staying in after he was tending to the dogs they he was rushed to the emergency room. He didn’t fully go into intensive care until after the week of October 30 . After many days of testing, he was diagnosed with CTEPH or Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension, which is a very rare condition for someone his age. He stayed inside the hospital for 2 weeks until being discharged to go home but is still on the medication lovenox, which is a shot that thins blood, and sidalafil, a pill that lowers blood pressure. He will take these medications for the rest of his life and can not continue basketball due to the medicine he takes, which keeps him at risk of heart problems and weeks of being inside the hospital . However, there is hope for Noah. If he receives the prayers and financial support for a trip to California from Georgia for a surgery to remove the blood clots from his lungs and right side of his heart it will help to improve his condition.
