On March 11, 2011 Japan, suffered a magnitude 9 Earthquake and a tsunami that shook the northeastern coast. This catastrophe took over 150,000 homes, still in 2018 seven years after this catastrophe 50,000 families still living in temporary homes. More than 120,000 buildings were destroyed, 278,000 were half-destroyed and 726,000 were partially destroyed. The number of confirmed deaths is 15,894 as of June 10, 2016, according to the reconstruction agency. More than 2,500 people are still reported missing.

More than 40 million people have been affected by devastating floods and landslides in South Asia, UN humanitarian agencies have said. Torrential monsoon rains have killed at least 1,200 people and left millions fleeing their homes in India, Bangladesh and Nepal

These floods and the events that cause them are caused by global warming which is happening because of the greenhouse effect. In the United States, the largest origin of heat-trapping pollution is the burning of fossil fuel industry. In the U.S, more than two billion tons of CO2 is produced yearly. Coal-burning power plants are by far the biggest polluters. In 2011, the nation produced 38.2 billion tons of CO2 in order to preserve electricity. In 2014, the total US CO2 emission was 14 trillion (14,000,000,000,000) pounds, which is 14.2 times as much as the amount that was produced in 1990. This is causing global warming.

How to stop Global warming?

Scientists are working very hard to find a solution, but we have found one that will make everyone happy. The answer is a futuristic house, that produces is own electricity, so now you will stop pollution and still have electricity around. The house will have a panic room that will fly and the house will float on water just like a ship in case of any catastrophes. And it will still look like a normal home.

As students of Bard High School Early College in Newark - NJ ,  We will like to present our work at the  NJ Academy of Science Annual Meeting, However we have encounter financial constraints to continue building our model house.
