My mother's house burnt down
I was recently notified this past weekend that my mother’s house was deliberately set on fire and burned while she and my little sister were still in it at night. Fortunately, the smoke detectors went off causing my mother to open her bedroom door to a hallway of smoke. Which then gave her just enough time to wake my sister up from her sleep. They were able to escape with only a few seconds to spare and were left on the street with no shoes or clothes on as they watched the house become engulfed in flames on an extremely cold night. It took the firemen hours to completely put out the house. As a result my mother and sister are left with all of their belongings burned and a house where they can no longer live anymore. I have and will continue to do what I can to help my mother but being hours away from Pennsylvania and in college makes it difficult to do. So I am here to help try and raise money for my mother and sisters sake as this has been detrimental to my family. Even if you cannot donate, just sharing and spreading the message to your families to have working smoke detectors on each floor of your house could save someone else’s life! Thank you for listening.
