Tia Maxwell & A Cappella Academy!

I'm super excited to be given the opportunity to go to A Cappella Academy this year in sunny Azusa, California. I hate to be cliche, but a cappella is incredibly important to me and this is an amazing chance for me to really discover the extent of my talent and share what I have with those who wanna listen. But I need your help in funding my trip. If you like what you hear, please consider donating any amount you prefer, it is incredibly appreciated.
Music is essentially my life, and after a major move from Florida to a small town in Georgia, I lost a big part of myself that I valued through music. But as time progressed, the need to immerse myself back into the world I loved and craved grew. Then, I was presented this opportunity by my amazing middle school director. She enthusiastically lead me to A Cappella Academy. After toying with the idea I got incredibly excited- this was my opportunity to see just how much I loved music. So with the help of a friend, an inaugural alumni of the academy, I put together my audition tape. It was hard, and I almost wanted to quit, as all I really desired was for Ben, Rob and Avi to see my potential and how desperately I needed this. When my voice finally got too sore for another round of recording Crazy, I clicked submit.

And when I got my acceptance email at 5:22 in the morning, I screamed. My dream had, literally and figuratively, come true. Much to their dismay, both of my parents came running and after initial shock settled, both were very happy for me. Then the question came-
"How much?"
And that's where you come in. Tuition for the academy is $1895, and I need your help going. I come from a family of five, and after having back surgery and all of junior year's dues, I know its a lot to ask from two very hardworking parents. I spent a year in an a cappella group, Take 7, and I know that I loved every single moment of the journey. That's a given. BUT I think this will be my opportunity to see where music will take me, and vice versa, into the next chapter of my life. God led my director to show me the door, my friend helped me get my foot in and now I need your help to push it open. Thank you so much for whatever you can give, and just know you are helping to make my dreams come true.
