Ken Scheirich’s Mayo Trip

Spende geschützt
Kenny has been in two car accidents; the first was in September 2016 and the second was in December 2017. Since that time he has suffered with post-concussion syndrome. His symptoms have persisted and are becoming progressively worse despite a clear MRI in May of this year and CAT Scan in April. He has not been able to stay in his own home since May as too noisy with 8 buses going by his house hourly. Presently, he is in Diamond House in Warman (a continuing care facility) and has been there since August. He has been seen by a GP, neurologist, neuropsychologist, a chiropractor and a psychiatrist. None have proved effective in treating his symptoms. His symptoms include severe headache, neck pain and nausea. He has significant hyperacusis (super sensitive hearing) and photophobia (severe sensitivity to light). He sits in a dark quiet room with ear plugs and head phones on with eye mask. He cannot look at his phone, tv or read. He just sits there trying to get well. And he’s just not getting better. So the family thinks it’s time to take him to Mayo Clinic for an assessment and hopefully treatment. Hope you can help!
