Healing from Adenomyosis

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Jessie and I am  27 years old and recently diagnosed with Adenomyosis, PMDD, and Stage III Endometriosis after seeking help since symptoms began at age 13 and being medically mistreated for half my lifetime. Adenomyosis was determined in 2020 and because of the severity, I am scheduled for hysterectomy surgery early in 2022. This surgery should help improve my quality of life while continuing treatment for Stage III Endometriosis (diagnosed 2021) and PMDD (diagnosed 2020), which are both incurable. Even though these challenges have caused physical and mental disabilities, I am determined to move forward!

Adenomyosis is a chronic condition that is only found in the uterus. It causes the organ to grow, tear and enlarge which can cause health complications. People can experience zero, mild, or severe pain and symptoms. Adenomyosis is a common health condition that over 200,000 people struggle with each year in the USA. There is no known cause and Adenomyosis is poorly understood which makes treatment difficult. It is also greatly stigmatized. The only cure is complete removal of the uterus with hysterectomy surgery.

Adenomyosis causes me severe symptoms such as chronic pain, constant pressure on my blatter and blows, internal bleeding, fatigue, mental health challenges, physical disabilities, and more. These health challenges have impacted my life for the worst and I am making the best out of the situations by raising awareness about Adenomyosis and doing what’s in my control every day to take the best care of myself possible.

Because of all this, I am asking for support for treatment, mobility aid, medication, and future recovery while waiting on procedures and surgery, continuing to go through to process of applying for disability, being unable to work full-time since these diagnoses’, and my insurance is ending this year. No matter what challenges I face, I am determined to be as healthy as possible and make the best out of this bad situation. It’s not easy living in pain for 13 years plus and being judged by so many people and mistreated by the doctors. Now, I look forward to healing, healthier and happier days to come once free of Adenomyosis and continuing my healing journey!

Thank you all again for your love and support. Treatment, healing, and moving forward would not be possible without you all.
