Repairing Badly Botched Surgery After Stroke

Donation protected

To cut a very long story down to size;  in 2015, I was involved in a serious farm accident that left me with a spinal fracture and serious head injury. I had a stroke almost instantly after the head injury, and continued to have small ones throughout the next couple of weeks. This left me with the classic "stroke victim" appearance of one side of the face drooping down severely, which also impeded my speech and ability to eat and drink.
In 2017, I met a surgeon (Dr Feins of Manchester NH) who claimed he was well versed in fixing stroke damage and could make me totally "normal" again. I later found out he had never once done this procedure in his entire career.

I woke up from surgery in December 2017 and knew immediately it had been direly botched. I could feel there were two giant bulges, one on each side of my mouth, and asked to speak with Dr Feins. I was panicked and told him this wasnt at all what we discussed, that I looked and functioned even worse, and the bulges weren't even on the same part of my face on either side. He instantly became angry. He shouted at me that I had no idea what I was talking about, no idea what I wanted, and to stop bothering him.  This set the theme- every follow up appointment, during most of which I was reduced to teary begging, he continued to express fury and use intimidation tactics, such as filling the room with his employees just standing silently in a semi-circle around me with their arms crossed.

The lumps have migrated even further down my face, and I can feel the hardware entering the top of my mouth. It's very painful every day.  Smiling and laughing are very painful, meaning even during the moments I should be forgetting about my problems, there is a stark reminder.

I did pursue a legal case against Dr Feins, however, reached the statute of limitations while waiting months at a time for appointments with specialist doctors to get evidence for the lawyers- further inhibited by Dr Feins shuttering his practice a few months after and ignoring requests for documents. I am also battling multiple sclerosis which inhibits my ability to set aside time, energy, and money for things like court battles, which is why I have yet to take him to small claims.

I have a trusted surgeon ready to reverse the surgery, however I am uninsured and the cost is over $16,000. I have been waiting and saving for years to have this surgery done and live with less pain and dysfunction moving forward. Any help, be it a donation or share, is appreciated more than I can ever express.
