Duncan & Kadie's Relocation to the USA

UPDATE:

It's finally happening. After 9 months of planning and preparation and a lot of cash later, we're moving to the US this coming Monday, 31st of August. 

We managed to fund most of the process ourselves, but have depleted our savings and are calling for some help from friends and family. We've now paid all visa fees, shipping costs, flights etc, but we still need help with purchasing a car when we arrive. 

If you're not from the US, you might not be aware of how imperative a vehicle is. Aside from needing a car for the basics, I need one for the job I'll be starting soon after arriving. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kadie and I are moving from London this summer to be part of a new church plant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 

Our years in London have stretched us, moulded us and we believe prepared us for this next season of God's call in our lives. 

We are seeking employment locally in Myrtle Beach in an effort to integrate into society there, all the while making disciples and supporting the church plant with our gifts and experience, particularly in the area of youth ministry, but wherever we can sew in to the kingdom of God. 

Moving is never cheap, especially when it's across an ocean. London has proven to be as expensive as they say it is, and the cost of living here, coupled with being on a ministry salary and Kadie volunteering her time to serve our youth ministry, our savings are very limited.

We've already paid for the first step of my green card application, and for my real estate licence training. Here are the costs that we need help with, hence this GoFundMe page:

- Flights to the US for Kadie and I.
- Shipping our belongings.
- Remaining Immigration fees.
- A vehicle (a necessity from week one).
- Driving test and license fee.
- First month of health insurance.
- First month of car insurance.

It's a humbling experience being in a place where we need to reach out for support in this way, and we will be incredibly thankful and grateful for each and every level of gift we receive. Thank you so much for reading all the way through.
