NJ Safe Ratios Billboard

All patients deserve to be safe. The 3rd leading cause of death in the US is from avoidable medical errors. Nurses stop 85% of all medication errors that are missed by ordering providers and the pharmacy. NJ hospitals have stopped legislation that would put a cap on the amount of patients a nurse can have. For example, in nursing homes 1 nurse can have 60-100 patients.  In an ER a nurse can have as many as 15 patients, because there are not ratios. This is unsafe. 

We are raising money to put billboards around the state to raise awareness for safe staffing bills.  I hope you will help us keep our patients safe.
