Nissa Paggi and Matanah Meadows

Hi, my name is Brandi and I am trying to help a dear friend and her sweet kiddos and their beautiful farm. There are fires everywhere in the area of Sequoia National Park, where they have their farm, and they are threatening their property and livelihood. The fires are a huge financial blow. They depend 100% on tourist Airbnb as a source of income right now for farm expenses and because of the fires and evacuations, all of their upcoming bookings have been canceled. Nobody knows how long before people will start booking again because the National Park may be closed for a while. It's also costing Nissa extra money to feed their animals off the property at temporary farms, as her animals usually graze and the price of hay has skyrocketed due to the drought. They haven't had enough time to build up a safety net yet, since they just opened the farm Airbnb, and all of their current savings is needed to pay for the upcoming property taxes. She is trying to get assistance for farms hit by the drought through the various government agencies, but the paperwork takes ages, and they're drowning NOW.

Basically, the fire complicates an already stressful time of starting a new business and running a farm by herself. The current projected fire containment date is Oct 10th. The amount of the GoFundMe is only to help cover her Airbnb income loss for one month due to the fires and the added expense of feeding all of the evacuated animals hay when they would normally be grazing. Every bit of the money raised is going to help save the farm. If we can help and come together to help Nissa, her kiddos, their animals, and the farm, then hopefully that will be one less burden that they have to deal with right now and will help them weather the storm.
