Ninas 2 drastic knee surgeries

Nina has torn her cranial cruciate ligament in both knees, which is the canine equivalent to tearing her ACL. This can, over time, become extremely painful and make it difficult to get around. Commonly, dogs will only tear one ACL at a time and can manage on three legs for awhile before needing surgery. In Nina's case she has unfortunately torn both and it appears to have caused a lot of strain on her body, making it difficult for her to run, play, and act like a normal young dog.

She will require a very intensive surgical repair; after seeing several local veterinarians and having her radiographs reviewed by a specialists, it was determined this kind of surgery will need to be performed by a boarded orthopedic surgeon at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital. The doctors are doing everything they can to try to help manage Nina's pain but she is starting to become immune to her pain medications/maxing out on what she can take. Please consider helping our sweet girl raise money for her surgery!

Anyone who knows me, nicole glass, knows how much this little girl means to be. She is my princess, and the absolute sweetest and most loving girl. She has done nothing wrong, her body is simply failing her. She cannot even sit normally because of her knees, nor can she stand or walk for very long, even with all the medication she gets. We try to keep her in the loop with the other dogs as much as possible, even if its just laying on a dog bed we put on our deck or anywhere we are outside so she can still be with us and her siblings. You can tell she is depressed some days, but she does the best she can to keep her spirits up. Every time we come home, or she meets someone new, she paws at them from where she is sitting or laying down and makes the most adorable whining noise because she wants to love and be loved by everyone. 

Anyone who has met Nina, has fallen in love with her immediately. Even with her circumstances, she still finds a way to brighten peoples day with her personality and perseverance.  

These surgeries are extremely necessary, and also extremely out of my price range. We need to get her these surgeries ASAP,  but cannot do so without help. Please help me raise money so Nina can get the help she needs. She deserves to be able to get up in the morning without the need of medication, and to run freely with her siblings. 

Any help would mean the world to Nina and to me, and anyone who has met her kind soul. We all just want to see her reach her full potential. 



I started creating this page for nina 2 months ago, but have been waiting for final confirmation on her diagnosis and what the next steps were before posting.
