Nikki's Cancer Battle

As most of you know, Nikki was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in March 2016. She had surgery to remove her right ovary. In December 2017, she had surgery to remove the left ovary, after finding two more tumors. During this time we discovered that the tumors had spread to other areas. She will begin chemotherapy January 2018. This will be six rounds and each round is about 6 hours long.

During chemo, the doctors told her she will lose her hair. As any woman knows, our hair is important to us. Imagine being 19 and having to go through this. She will have to also suspend this semester at school and move out of her dorm. Her whole world has been turned upside down. 

Anyone who has been ill or had a loved one thats ill, medical bills can pill up real fast.  Not only medical bills but the cost of medications. Also she will need wigs, hats, scarfs, etc. All money raised will go directly to her care.

Our family wants to thank everyone for donating. Even if you just read her story and this makes you go to the doctor, its was worth telling our story. This 19yr is very determined to beat this monster. She has showed us more strength and courage than we ever imagined. She remains upbeat during this ordeal. 

Remember cancer doesnt care who you are or how old you are. No one should have to go through this.  Especially a 19yr at the prime of her life.
