Nika Rose

Nefertiti de Alphaville Bohemia ‘aka’ Nika Rose needs help, and the only way to do so is from within the community.

On 21 January 2023 Nika suddenly lost all mobility from the neck down. Seeming to barely be holding on to life, unable to move or walk, we rushed to the Emergency Hospital. Nika received a number of blood tests and radio graphs in the attempt to discover the root of the issue (results came back within normal limits).

The veterinarians stated Nika was in need of a Neurologist and MRI where a spinal tap would be necessary to determine exactly where the consensus is: she suffered from either a stroke, or from ruptured disk in her spine.

Nika would then undergo surgery to repair the issue, and from there it would take three (3) months of physical therapy for her to fully recover.

Today, Nika is still unable to stand, walk, or go to the bathroom on her own. She must be rotated every four (4) hours to prevent the development of soresis. Her inability to walk, or urinate on her own we are forced to manually express her bladder at least 3 times a day. She must be propped up using pillows, and blankets to be provided food and water by hand.

Nika Rose is a Warrior. She is the bedrock of our in house breeding program. Through Nika we have been able to expedite the process in providing REAL working service dogs to our nation’s combat veterans. She has provided three (3) litters of puppies of whom, 18 have successfully been trained, paired and placed as working service dogs in various capacities across the Nation.
