Nic,Sharon and Savvys Flood Relief

Donation protected

Imagine your house getting absolutely destroyed by raging flood water and losing everything you have to your name, that is exactly what happened to Mum, Nicole and little Savvy in the early hours of Friday March 31st.
After thinking that their two storey home was at a relatively safe height away from the Flood water, the worst possible outcome happened at around 3.45am when the water rose at an unfathomable speed. Before they knew it the second floor was waist deep under water, and they had to call to be rescued, after constantly calling the SES to no avail (understandably they would have had their hands full) and putting the emergency call on Facebook they were finally rescued by their neighbour Levii in a small tinny. The rescue was sketchy and scary as the water rushing around them was like rapids and it only being a small tinny they had to put their safety first and leave their very loved 3 dogs and 2 cats behind on a bed hoping that they stay there float and survive what was happening around them.
The trip to safety in the tinny was sketchy at best hitting debris all the way to the abandoned train station where they took shelter for the next 18 hours or so until the SES could finally reach them and take them to safer land, water food and shelter.
The animals were all still in the house unharmed when they finally could get back to the house the next day but the same cant be said about the house, everything destroyed by flood water, cars, clothes, furniture, personal items and memories you name it all gone. Imagine being left with nothing but the shirt on your back, this is what has happened to my family and many other families as well.

We cant even estimate what it will cost to regain some normality, but what we can do is help Nicole, Savvy and Mum get back on their feet by donating what we can from money, clothes and anything else.

This donation target is to help get them both a new start from a place to rent, car repairs if they can actually be repaired or at least help them get a cheap car so they have a means of transport to work, any costs they will incur whilst being unable to work whilst cleaning up after the destruction.

The time is now to help a family in need, any little donation helps. If you have any items you can donate please get in touch with me via facebook, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100009091326584&fref=ts
Lets show them they arent alone and help them back on their feet.
