Nicole’s Rare Medical Journey
Donation protected
My name is Nicole and I've been in and out of the hospital for over a year trying to find answers on several issues that have been occuring. I have been to several specialists and to which all would tell me that i am perfectly fine. However, I have had liver issues, pancreas issues, spleen issues, and intestinal problems. After a year of constant problems, i was rushed to the emergency room for abdominal pain. They ran a CT scan, with and without contast, and a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Adams at Del Sol who discovered a very rare diagnosis. I was diagnosed with Severe Celiac Stenosis Syndrome. Only 400 people in the U.S. have been diagnosed. This can only be corrected with a very critical and invasive surgery. I am being referred to The Cleveland Clinic where they are experienced and perform approximately 5 surgeries a year (yes, very very rare)... My insurance will not cover all my medical expenses or travel expenses so I am in need of help. Over the past year i have needed to have multiple tests, procedures, and biopsies done and it has become difficult to cover those medical costs out of pocket. Now that I have a true diagnosis, I need assistance to get the treatment that is required to make me healthy. Any amount will help, thank you!
