Nicole's Medical Costs

Hi All,

I want to start off by saying how much I absolutely hate to even do this. As many of you know, I had heart surgery in September 2022 that resulted in two grafts being placed in my aorta and renal artery to fix the coeractation present; with a follow-up procedure in February 2023 to place a stent, fixing an aneurysm that was not removed in the first procedure due to my renal artery "disintegrating" in my surgeon's hand, turning the priority into saving my kidney and ultimately my life. This was all due to a rare birth defect called Mid-Aortic Syndrome that I got diagnosed in November 2021 after the birth of my son. We went to Michigan for the procedure because Dr. Coleman was recommended and the only surgeon to my knoweldge that will surgical fix this in adults. This is our bill after insurance. I'm incredibly grateful for the care I recieved in both procedures that not only saved my life, but moved my life expectancy from 45 years old to a more traditional expectancy. I'm also grateful to God for keeping me alive til this could be found and fixed. With a medical bill this large, paying it back in itself will be a lifelong endeavor without your support.
