Earlier this week Nicole began experiencing severe migraines. After treatments on Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon, the migraines continued and she was sent to the ER for further evaluation.

After a night in the ER, hospital staff were able to make Nicole comfortable enough and a CT scan was ordered. The scan revealed a bleed in her brain. The doctors were able to rule out an aneurysm and ordered an MRI to be completed first thing in the morning.

The MRI revealed a mass (AKA as a tumor) about the size of a grape on the front part of her brain. After meeting with the neurologist, it was decided to keep Nicole in the hospital so her status could be monitored. She will be receiving steroids over the next few days with the goal of reducing swelling and inflammation and to slow the bleed. The MRI will be repeated on Monday to review the status of the mass. If things look better, surgery will be scheduled to remove the mass and send it in for a biopsy.
