Hello there my name is Nicola Welsh, a young, talented and bright Jamaican who recently graduated from university with honors. I am passionate about the communications industry and have recently been offered a job in the field in the United States of America.
This opportunity came at a time when I needed it the most because I have not been able to gain employment since graduating in 2019. I have completed numerous applications and have attended even more interviews. Unfortunately, none of these jobs came through. When the pandemic hit, I attended more virtual interviews but soon job openings became less and organizations were no longer hiring.
I realized the pandemic has seriously affected every aspect of our lives especially the job market in Jamaica. So I sought employment internationally and was offered a Marketing job at Ober Gatlinburg in Tennessee. A huge and successful organization such as Ober is the perfect place for me to put to use the Communications Degree I was awarded at the University of Technology, Jamaica. It will provide me with much needed professional experience and development and I couldn't be more elated. It is truly a God-sent breakthrough.
I am excited and very grateful for the opportunity, however I need your help.
I will need to temporarily relocate to the US to work. I am currently faced with:
1. insurance fees
2. travel fees and
3. housing/ accommodation fees. The total amount of which is over USD $7500.
The process has already started and if I am to complete it in time for my January 2021 deadline, I cannot do this without your help.
I will be very grateful for assistance and if you can't offer a sponsor, prayers are truly appreciated. Please share amongst your friends, families and anyone you believe may be able to help.
