Nicola Turner and Duane Ernst CZU Lightning Fire
Donation protected
Sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning Nicola Turner and Duane Ernst's home, lovingly known as 'Sugar Mountain', was completely lost to the CZU Lightning Complex fires. They had been able to evacuate the property quickly a day earlier, and were only able to take what they could grab in a short period of time.
Not only was Sugar Mountain their home, but is was the base of both of their livelihoods. They lost their current home, the new home they were in the process of building, Nicola's studio and Duane's workshop as well as countless pieces of equipment used by Duane for work. With both of them being self employed and based off of the property, this loss has taken away both their home and their ability to run their businesses.
Any funds raised will go towards reparations of the property and home, supporting themselves and family in the meantime, and towards helping them begin to rebuild their businesses.
