Meet Nick.
34 years old. Father. Husband. Photographer. Artist. One of life’s active participants. He enjoys weight lifting, rock climbing, and camping. Dedicated family man. Caring friend.
Nick needs a new heart.
While it is safe to say that while we, his family and friends, always knew that Nick had a big heart metaphorically speaking, a very unexpected diagnosis of non-compaction cardiomyopathy (an extremely rare and untreatable heart defect) was certainly not news we were prepared to receive in November of 2016.
A graduate of Willowbrook High School and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Nick currently resides in Downers Grove with his wife, Jenna, son, Evan and cat Neo. Because of his condition, he is unable to return to his job as a Substation Mechanic.
The goal of this GoFundMe page is to help with Nick and Jenna deal with the unseen side effects of financial uncertainty that accompany his diagnosis.
