Nick Chiaro & Leslie Kinsman

My sweet and talented nephew, Nick Chiaro and his lovely girlfriend Leslie, have been planning to move from Kansas City back to San Francisco for several months.  Yesterday, they had filled their U-haul with most of their personal belongings and were almost ready to begin their trip west.  That's when this exciting adventure turned into a unbelievably terrible one.

Nick and Leslie left the trailer overnight and stayed at a friend's as their bed, plus all other furniture were in the trailer.  When they returned the next morning, they were stunned to find that someone had stolen it.  The entire trailer!  With almost everything they owned inside.

Then, as they were driving to the police station to report the crime, they were rear-ended and their car is badly damaged, possibly totaled.  

Needless to say, that other than in the movies, this stuff isn't supposed to happen.  Not to two sweet kids getting ready to start a new life.  They lost just about everything; furniture, electronics, clothes, kitchen and bath setup, all the stuff that we all have in our homes.  On top of that of course, were  memorabilia and photos  that are irreplaceable,  plus all of Leslie's prized vintage clothes and items that she collects and sells after painstakingly searching for each item.

Ok, so they are ok.  They are healthy and they weren't injured and it's just stuff, right?  Right.  Yes, that is all true.  But I keep thinking of them getting to San Francisco with just 2 suitcases - and Nicky's precious chef's cooking knife set that luckily was in the car - and nothing else.  This Go Fund Me account is meant to try to help change that.

There are alot of people who love Nick and Leslie.  Let's all come together to help share our love and support and show them both just how much.
