Nick Boyd's Accident Expenses

Nick and Marlene cofounded PIONEER61 in Tete, Mozambique, Africa in 2012.  Their ministry began with the Lord calling them to the “least of these” in Tete, starting with a group of abandoned orphaned street boys. Since that time, they have maintained their love and discipleship for many more boys & the ministry has also expanded to rescuing women out of human trafficking through the White As Snow project.

As many of you know, Monday, June 26, 2017, Nick was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. While running errands for the ministry, a truck pulled out in front of Nick. He had to make a quick decision to either hit the truck or lay the bike down. He decided to lay it down but unfortunately, ended up sliding under the truck.  The truck accidentally rolled backwards and Nick became wedged beneathe the vehicle . His injuries were so extensive he had to be flown to Zimbabwe for surgery and will need to follow-up with rehab.

The medical care & emergency transportation expenses are expected to total AT LEAST $30,000.  Due to Nick and Marlene being independent missionaries they are not covered under any medical insurance policy.  Therefore, they will be required to pay out-of-pocket for all the bills they incur.

This gives us, as the body of Christ, a beautiful opportunity to come together and support our brother and sister in a difficult time of need.  While we are not all called to serve in Africa, we can surely offer our prayers and financial support. Thank you SO much for blessing Nick and Marlene by helping relieve this financial burden. Please share this link with your friends and family and continue praying for complete and total healing in the mighty name of Jesus!
