Some of you may know, Nicholas Pilz, MAI, SRA, AI-RRS is about to begin the battle of his life fighting a very rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Nick, his wife Adrienne, and two young sons need our help. This GoFund Me site has been created to help pay for a food delivery service for him and his family. Nick has given so much of his time to the members of the Appraisal Institute; member of the 2018 National Board of Directors, 2018 Region X Vice Chair, 2018 Comprehensive Examination Panel, 2014 East Florida Chapter President, National Education Committee Member, AI Instructor. As many of you know I have been going through medical testing for the past few months. These tests were all good news, but the final test was not. I have cancer, a very rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It is hard to hear the word cancer and your name in the same sentence. It takes time to digest it all. Getting over the fear, anxiety, helplessness and sorrow takes remembering that God is there for you; that your family is there for you; that your friends are there for you; and that the doctors are smarter than the disease. This cancer will be cured, and we will persevere. the chemo starting and it looks like right now it will be 5 days of chemo in the hospital followed by 21 days at home for six cycles.
If you are reading this, we will need your help. First and foremost, please pray for our family and that God will the calm these troubled waters that our family will be battling for the next several months.
Lastly, we need love and laughs. We need positive energy. Pick us up with your prayers, pick us up with your thoughts, and be you. We want the you that make our lives feel normal. We want the you that will be there when our lives are normal again and this disease is cured. In short time that day will come.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
