Mom's/ Nana's headstone

Dear friends and family,

As most of you know my mom passed away just a few months ago, very suddenly from a terminal illness that caught our immediate family and everyone else who knew and loved her by surprise. The lack of knowledge or awareness of her condition left my family unprepared to thoroughly respond financially in the wake of this tragedy in a way that any family would wish to honor and remember the passing of a loved one. While my family has never been quite comfortable asking for charity I decided to put ego aside and leave the decision up to others who wish to contribute something that would go towards a beautiful headstone for my mom. I've put together a fundraiser to surprise my dad as he has no idea that I'm doing this to help him out, and I'd like to keep it a surprise if at all possible in this digital age of information gathering.

Since she's been gone my dad has been doing his very best to balance emotions associated with loss and a new phase of life with the ever growing financial burden that last years events have wrought upon the family. My brothers and I are seeking solutions on our end but as my older brother always reminds me, family and friends are the greatest asset anyone truly has and we do ourselves a great disservice when we deny them the opportunity to support in a time of need.

If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated. Anything helps at this difficult time for my family. Thank you all who knew my mother and made her time here on earth a happy one.
