Uptown Inner City League was started by Kelvin McAllister 25 years ago in the The Manhattanville Housing Projects in Harlem, NY. The goal was to keep kids of all ages off the streets and out of trouble. The league started off by giving children the opportunity to play sports all year long. McAllister offered softball and basketball throughout the summer and fall, along with football in the winter.
25 years later Kelvin McAllister has never let the passion of giving kids the opportunity to succeed in his community go. As years went by and youth sports became more competitive, UICL has become a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that formed a AAU Travel Baseball Program called The New York Angels which is coached by his sons Kerry,Kelvin,Kevin, and Nat.
For the last 4 years, The Angels have been scrapping money from everywhere to pay for tournament fee's, equipment, and the transportation to and from tournaments.
We need your help to raise money so that our kids won't miss out on these opportunities due to lack of money. We want to raise enough money for tournaments and also transportation!
