New Ocean Hurricane Harvey Relief

We have all borne witness to the devastating affects of Hurricane Harvey on the people and families of Texas and Louisiana. The pictures and stories on television or streaming video pull at the strings of our heart and yet they don’t come close to the losses experienced by those living through this epic disaster. Events like this help to focus us on how fortunate we are in comparison to the victims of this horrible storm. Certainly many of us want to head south to help out in any manner possible but the states affected have asked that out of town volunteers not come down at this time. So, what can we do? In listening to the Red Cross and other organizations the need is not for clothing nor food but rather money to help families rebuild their lives. While our government plans to provide assistance it tends to be too little too late and gets caught up in politics while people continue to struggle.

We will decide which charities or service organizations will receive the funds soon. Our desire and goal is to find an organization that will directly help those in need with all of the funds donated.
