Newly adopted dog hit by car

Hello all, my family and I adopted a dog on the 28th of August. I don't know what got into him but he ran out the door and got hit by a car. We had to take him to the emergency vet already and will have to have surgery on 22nd of September to get two teeth removed. The front tooth nerve is exposed as well as a tooth in the back. Please help if you can.
