Renewed Mobility for Trevor

This fundraiser is for Trevor Wood. In June of 2009 he was in an accident where he fell backwards over a railing at his school from a second story balcony. He landed head first in the concrete courtyard below. Our family was immediately told to prepare for the worst. But Trevor fought to prove doctors wrong. The doctors words to us in stages were that he would never regain consciousness, always be a vegetable, never move again, and never regain his own personality. But through it all Trevor has fought and proved doctors wrong on all accounts. Trevor's next goal is to walk again and even though we are sure he can achieve this goal as he has done on all other goals, this one might take a while. 


Trevor was a very active kid. He loved to run around the beach and in the woods where he grew up in Oregon. He now lives in Florida where he had visited before and enjoyed the beach there as well. But unfortunately with the chair he is confined to nowadays he cannot access these places where he feels most alive. We are trying to raise funds for an action track chair that would give him mobility away from the pavement and back to the places he loves. Also the chair provides options to lift him into a standing position and hopefully doing so will push him in the right direction of standing on his own and walking again.
