New Years Day Marathon Row

We (Rab,Paterson, Neil Burnside, Lee Burnside and Sonia Paterson) are rowing a marathon (26 miles/42000 kilometres) on our concept 2 rower on the 1st January 2021. Starting New Year with a bang and if Eddie is up to it he will be starting us off. The four of us will be on a 500 metre rota. We are trying to raise funds for our friend who has incurable cancer.

Eddie was diagnosed with head and neck cancer in 2017 and underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy which thankfully was successful and he entered remission in May 2018.  June 2019 he started to feel unwell again with similar symptoms as before.  His GP advised him it was asthma and prescribed him an inhaler.  By November 2019 he was feeling worse and coughing up blood, again his GP said it was asthma and nothing worrying.  He was not happy with this answer so went to his McMillan nurse who arranged a CT Scan.  On the 1st April 2020 he was diagnosed with incurable stage 4 metastasized cancer.  The cancer had returned with no cure this time.  Our whole world collapsed. With a young family to think about, he started treatment again with no joy.  He researched different protocols online and came across Kangen Water.  This is a machine that makes tap water alkaline, removing all acid and impurities from the water.  He received a trial of this machine, and has noticed a massive difference in his health and fitness since starting this.  All his hair has returned thicker and darker than before.  In order for him to continue this protocol, we require to purchase the machine for the rest of time.  This is at a cost of £3000.  As he is not fit enough to work, we are looking for support to assist in its purchase.
