New truck rear window

While we were doing layouts for work a buddy of mine was loading tuff boxes into the back of his truck with a bunch of gear in them, though he was not obligated to use his personal truck for work he did. It was raining the day of this accident and a lock on one of the boxes went through his rear windshield. Insurace is a still 500$ to claim it and safelite quoated 450 to 500 to fix it. So being with it so close to a insurance claim it would be better to just get it fixed with safelite and not having the claim. With it being so rainy in Fort Polk, Louisiana we are trying to help him out as soon as possible, also with the cost of the repair due to the fact of him having a wife and kids.
